About The Club

This club is  the photography club 2016-2017 webpage. The club is run by Gessy Austin & Virginia Pontoriero

What is the photography club?

The Nations photography club is a group created to inspire and develop photography at our school.  We want to share with you our passion for photography, and teach you very useful skill and techniques that you will be able to use when taking pictures outside of school.

How does the club work?

There are going to be monthly competitions (sometimes with a prize) with a theme which will be specified through email and in our "Newsletters" page on this website. At the end of the competition, we will decide 4 runners up and 1 winner. In every new newsletter we will share the winner and runners up of the previous competition and reasons why they won. We will also write down the theme for the next competition and tips you can take in consideration with taking pictures for it. In order to enhance the tips we will always include 2 photographs of our own as examples. You will have to the midnight on the last day of that month to sent in your photographs to our email (nations.photography@gmail.com).

Here are the rules for the competition:

  • Maximum 5 photos per person.

  • Any apparatus that can take photos is allowed, don't worry if you don't have professional camera.

  • They must be submitted by the deadline or they will not be accepted.

  • They must follow the month's theme.

  • They must be your original work.

  • You can use past photos

All winners will have their pictures posted on the home page and published on our official Instagram account (cdn.photography) - always with your permission.
