Those were some very creative submissions from you guys this month! Congradulations to Ana Van der Ree for being the winner of this month. The runner ups are listed below:

1. Ana Van Der Ree

There are so many reasons we choose this photograph for first place in the first competition this year. The framing of the photograph was really good. By framing we are refering to the fact that the sun is not in the centre but slightly to the left which gives the photograph a moe professional feel to it. It is great how you can see the waves and also that the light from the sun is reflecting off them. Overall a great photograph!

2. Catherine Knight

We choose this photography mainly for the great idea surrounding it. When we set you this theme, we said that editing is allowed, but that you should be careful it doesn't detract from the overall feel the photograph gives. Well, Catherine clearly took our advice on board and was able to use editing to very much enhance the photographs. Well done on your great photograph and idea!

3. Kate Schlein

We choose this photograph for many reasons. We love how the light from the lamp reflects off the leaves which gives a lovely effect. We also loved how you included the moon in the background, which helps to bring the photograph together very effectively. Well done on a great photograph!

This months theme is Holiday. This is quite a personal theme as the word "holiday" means different things to different people. We want to see your definition of holiday through the photographs you send in. You can send photographs in from your summer holidays or you can take some brand new ones during the winter holidays, both are acceptable.

The tips for this month are:

- If you want to photograph landscapes, you should pay attention to the depth of field. This means that if possible, try to add interest to the photograph by adding something else to the foreground, such as a branch of a tree. Also, experiment with different perspectives to make your photograph more interesting and unique.

The examples for this month are:

1. Dramatic, taken by Romy Santer

2. Nutella, taken by Abeera Devasar

3. Christmas, taken by Romy Santer

Best of luck guys.
