Congradulations to you all for your fabulous photos this month. The winner was Maria Nicasio. The runner ups are listed below.
1. Maria Nicasio
We choose this photography because we love the use of composition. We love how the children in the front look like silhouettes because of the strong lighting. We also like the angle to it. The photograph is not taken 100% upright and for this theme of Holiday, it gives a more sentimental feeling. Well done!

2. Mircea-Petru Ditiu
We choose this photograph because of the composition and lighting. We liked the main component, the decoration, it is not right in the centre and is off to an angle. Also it looks like the photograph was taken with the flash on and normally flash will cause the photograph to lack the natural feel we look for but here it works very effectively. Well done on a great photograph!

3. Sarah Shafiq
We choose this photograph because of two reasons. The first being the angle. The angle is at a great spot and it helps the cup to stand out more. As well as that we liked how the focus was on the cup and how even though they are out of focus there are other components to this picture which helps the photograph to come together. Finally we want to say congradulations for her following the tips for this month, good job!

This months theme is food. Even though we did do a theme last year which was Indoor Photography, we decided that we should have a theme this year also which involved some different sorts of skills. Some examples of things you could photograph range from a lovely decorated cake to some strawberries in your garden.
The tips for this month are:
- The most important thing to remember when photographing food is to use the flash. The flash recreates lighting, even if the photograph is taken on a cloudy day it can look sunny in the picture. It also captures the texture and freshness of the food. However, it makes the food look unappetizing if you use it in a dark room, so make sure there is still some natural light. Experiment with using the flash at different angles, so taking the photograph from behind the food, sideways, or even a bird's eye view. Play around with lighting and perspective to add depth to your photograph.
The examples for this month are:

Good Luck Guys!
