Hi, everyone!
To all the new people who signed up, welcome to the club! Thank you so much for your excitement to participate and thank you to all the oldies who emailed us to stay. We decided there wouldn’t be a March competition, as we were still receiving emails from people who wanted to sign up. We are therefore going to merge the months of March and April, and we will be accepting submissions until the 30th April, midnight. For this month's competitions, the runner-ups and the winner will have their pictures posted on the screens at school. The theme of the month is…
ARCHITECTURE
For those of you who are new to the club, this is how it works (you can find more information about the club in the "About" page of this website):
There are going to be monthly competitions (sometimes with a prize) with a theme which will be specified through email and in our "Newsletters" page on this website. At the end of the competition, we will decide 3 runners up and 1 winner. In every new newsletter, we will share the winner and runners up of the previous competition and reasons why they won. We will also write down the theme for the next competition and tips you can take in consideration with taking pictures for it. In order to enhance the tips we will always include 2 photographs of our own as examples. You will have to the midnight on the last day of that month to sent in your photographs to our email (ecolint.photography@gmail.com).
TIPS:
Perspective: Don't be scared to try different camera angles to give your pictures a unique feel. You could put your camera / phone on the ground or stabilize it on tables, desks, or any other plain surface.
Play around with the shutter speed: don't be afraid to experiment with the shutter speed to create some cool effects - especially when capturing moving objects. Stabilize the camera and try shooting at a SS of 4 seconds. You will see that the movement of the object is captured along with some light trails (you can see some examples below).
Experiment with your camera / phone and try the black and white effect. This will give your pictures more contrast and will really highlight your main subject.

We are looking forward to seeing your amazing pictures,
